Bio on the Owner: Nicolas N.Z. Smith

Nicolas N.Z. Smith has trained over 200 dogs beginning his career in the industry back in 2011. He studied Marine Biology with a Concentration in Limnology at San Francisco State University before moving to NYC in 2012 to continue his pursuit towards becoming an International Surgical Specialist for Veterinary Medicine with a Concentration in Mammal Behavior. He has an uncanny ability to communicate with the canine fauna which has led him to retain a great rapport with the communities in which he is involved. His involvement within the animal community since 2007 has led to working with wildlife centers and zoos as his passion for animals is exuded through his active personality and his willingness to learn and educate. He is a big activist for animal awareness in which he believes in educating the community on sustainable ways to build the positive connections between wildlife and human interactions.

Private Lessons: 

1Hr.: $75

4Hr.: $225

6Hr.: $350

Group Lessons: (4 Dogs max. - 2 Dogs min.) 

4Hr.: $150/Dog

6Hr.: $275/Dog

• Each session is 1Hr./TrainingDay

• Each Level 1-3 is meant to be accompanied by a 6Hr. package for complete retention of material covered during the course.

• All items required for the course will be left to the sole discretion of the pet parent to obtain prior to the given lesson.

The trainer can provide materials upon request for an additional fee to be discussed. These items are a range of treats, equipment, and training aides. 

Although we at The Eminent Dog would like to guarantee 100% effectiveness of the training practices and protocol, we are not held responsible for the actions of your canine during or there after the completion of the course. We will not be held responsible for any damages that may incur to other dogs, people, or property as result of the behavior of the participants canine. Each participant is there upon agreeing to not take legal action against The Eminent Dog and it’s staff as result of the unpredictable behavior and or situations that may arise from involvement within or outside of the course. 

Services

All services utilize positive reward based training methods:

Level 1

Basic Training Including:

Sit, Down, Leave-It, Wait, Stay, potty training, loose leash walking, socialization, barking, nipping, anxiety, and aggression.

Level 2

Advanced Behavior Including:

Response with distraction, extended duration of focus, and extended response with distance. Begin to turn commands into functional tasks. Preparation for the American Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Certification.

Level 3

Advanced Behavior Pt. 2: (AKC Canine Good Citizen Preparation Course)

Covers the 10-pt. test that will be administered by an AKC Certified Site. This is preparation for therapy and service animal work in which includes a variety of benefits within your community. A Canine Good Citizen is a positive influence within your home and the community by demonstrating appropriate behaviors in all situations.
